How to Book Jeju Island Accommodation
While there is plenty of available places to stay on Jeju Island, if you want something special, or have a large family, booking early is the best way to get the best rates – and the location you want. Especially if you’re planning to travel during the busier seasons.
When to Book
- Peak seasons: Spring (April–May), Summer (July–August), and Autumn (October–November) are the most popular times to visit.
- Off-season: Winter is quieter, with lower prices and more availability – a great choice for budget travellers if you don’t mind the cool weather.
Where to Book
- Global platforms: Booking.com and Airbnb are the easiest options for booking your stay, with lots of options. It’s easy to use filters to find the type of Jeju Island accommodation you want. Airbnb is especially good for villas and unique stays with kitchens.
- Local platforms: Korean sites like Naver Booking and Yanolja often list smaller pensions or boutique properties at better rates – but they do require translation. It can be a little clunkier to navigate if you don’t speak Korean.
- Direct bookings: Many family-run hotels and hanok stays offer small discounts for direct reservations via email or KakaoTalk (Korea’s main messaging app). Be sure to translate your request into Korean before sending.
Top Tip: If you’re renting a car, be sure to check parking is available before booking. Not all guesthouses or pensions have space available.
